RESPONSE TO: Food intolerance: sifting the facts from the fantasies As a first year student in Glasgow I am looking forward to getting to psychiatry later in my course and it's all thanks to the Student BMJ! Learning that Van Gogh used to eat his own pants because of his mania has impressed me massively. On re-reading Corrine Wong's article I see he actually ate his paints.
