Hong Kong

Kitty K.T. Cheung
Final Year Medical Student,
The Chinese University of Hong Kong,
hkstudentbmj@gmail.com
With the recent advances in medical knowledge, one trend is certain: the scientific content of medicine will only increase. Seeing that there is both a demand for improved treatment and the explosion of knowledge about the molecular and cellular basis of human diseases, I feel the need for scientifically trained physicians is increasing. As a final year medical student, I am most interested in applying scientific advances in direct patients’ care. So, I aim at pursuing a combined investigative career. Having enjoyed education and researches across continents (Canada, US and HK), I am determined to indulge myself in frontline medical training with PhD training after my medical school graduation. After all, what could be greater than having a dream implemented? Writing is also my love. In the past, I send all of my articles to US publishers, so, joining the studentBMJ team would be a new challenge for me! I am excited to start this new venture. Please join in, do send us your articles!
