Evidence based medicine is taught in Hong Kong

Editor—I cannot agree more with last month's article about evidence based medicine.1 I am in the first batch of students following the new curriculum offered by the Chinese University of Hong Kong. We have been taught to use Ovid and other medical related search engines from the first year of our study. We also learnt to critical appraise journal articles and studies in the second year. In the third and fourth year, we have regular sessions helping us to use these skills to find the best treatment or management plan for specific or controversial medical problems. We also regularly write case reports and suggest plans of management with evidence to support our proposals.
